So, today is March 14th or 3/14 if you use US date conventions. (If not, welcome to 14/3/23), but feel free to join us in the festivities!
In case you shoved all your math classes out of your head to make room for Netflix binging, 3.14 is pi. Just p and i, no e. Which happens to be both a Greek letter, and the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It’s an important constant in math. But I only do math to find out how many pages I’m behind in my latest manuscript.
Pi day has come to be a day that is also devoted to pie, the yummy round stuff. I think that’s a really cool thing. And if you measure around the pie, then straight across the pie, and make the 2 numbers into a fraction, you’ll have pi.
You’re welcome. Now go eat!
